The 6-foot, 235-pound Pierce was formally announced by the program, bolstering a unit battered by recent departures.

Since losing to the Texas Longhorns in the Citrus Bowl, the Michigan Wolverines have seen a steady stream of players enter the transfer portal. They’re also undergoing a transition of leadership as former Utah Utes head coach Kyle Whittingham replaces Sherrone Moore.
