The state of Minnesota and the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are suing the federal government to stop an enforcement surge by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The state of Minnesota, along with the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, are suing Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other federal officials in an effort to stop the surge of federal law enforcement officials coming into the state.

A toddler climbed into an enclosure outside a Minnesota home and was mauled to death by a bulldog that also severely injured the boy’s grandmother as she tried to rescue him, officials said. The incident occurred early in the afternoon on Jan. 11 at a home west of New York Mills, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office said.
