The NBA on Thursday released the second batch of returns for All-Star fan voting and Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija landed among the top 10 on Western Conference ballots.

With 1,752,801 votes in the first return, Cunningham only trails the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo (2,092,284), the New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson (1,916,497) and Tyrese Maxey of the Philadelphia 76ers (1,908,978) in the conference.

There is a solid slate of NBA games set for Friday, Jan. 2 as teams look to really get some positive outcomes on the board with he All-Star Break fast approaching.

The standard NBA on NBC format usually features two games on Peacock NBA Monday and two games on NBC 's Coast 2 Coast Tuesday. In December we broke with that format a couple of times to allow holiday programming to take up some of the time, but NBC Sports is starting off January right with an extra game for the first week of the year.

In a new U.S. vs. World format for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, two teams of U.S. players and one team of international players (known as the World team) will compete in a round-robin tournament featuring four 12-minute games. The three teams will each have a minimum of eight players.
